Obituary are one of the pioneers of death metal, especially a huge influence on the Florida death metal scene. Although they do have one specific flop (find for yourself here), their overall discography is pretty damned solid and their latest release is definitly a step up from their flop.

Yes, this is the mystical, magical band that at once was a black/viking band similar to the style of Enslaved turned completely original and almost strange black metal. With their departure from their older sound, they have made one of the greatest black metal albums of all time, proving that black metal's boundaries of sound are still expanding.

Luca Turilli's Dreamquest

Luca Turilli's Dreamquest is another side project of Rhapsody of Fire's guitarist Luca Turilli. He wanted to go back to playing keyboards, so he formed this project in order to really get a different sound without changing the style of his other projects. As such, Luca Turilli's Dreamquest was born.
